Top 6 Questions When Hiring a Roofing Contractor
How do you go about hiring a roofing contractor? Here are six important questions to ask when considering who to choose. We have included our answers below, because when you compare The Roofing Company to the others, we are confident you will agree that we provide unmatched quality and service.
1. What is your experience with constructing roofs in the mountains?
The Roofing Company has been installing commercial and residential roofing in the mountains for almost 30 years. Because mountain roofing is all we do, our staff understands that incorporating mountain-specific designs, materials and craftsmanship is integral to building a roof that withstands extreme high-altitude conditions. This is why, since 1976, hundreds of customers in Eagle, Grand, Routt, and Summit Counties have trusted The Roofing Company.
2. How long has your company been in business?
Jeff Johnston, President, started The Roofing Company 30 years ago with 6 employees and a '57 Chevy truck. Today, with Jeff still at the helm, The Roofing Company employees 135 professionals with 45 company vehicles on the road.
A company's structure is indicative of its reliability and staying power. You can trust that The Roofing Company will provide long-term quality and service.
3. Do you guarantee your work?
Our work is 100% satisfaction guaranteed. We take great care in ensuring customer satisfaction not only during construction of your project, but well after your roof is complete. Our staff surveys every customer upon completion of their roof, and when challenges arise we give you the prompt and courteous attention you deserve. When you select The Roofing Company, you get a solid reputation backed by a 30-year track record of satisfied customers.
4. Does your company carry insurance?
A reputable roofing contractor needs to carry adequate liability and workers compensation insurance. Period. At The Roofing Company, we don’t compromise when it comes to protecting both our workers and customers. This is why we carry $2 million of general liability insurance and every roofing technician is covered by workers compensation.
5. Do you provide a complete job estimate and proposal?
An informed customer is a happy customer. The Roofing Company provides complete estimates and proposals that help you understand the scope of your project beforehand. Our “Good, Better, Best” estimate allows you to choose the design, materials and price that fits your budget. Once your project is started, we inform you about its progress every step of the way to ensure the final product meets your specifications, and is finished on time, within budget.
6. Do you have photos and references of work you have completed?
We are happy to provide photos, testimonials, and references that detail our work over the past 30 years.
