The Roofing Company is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist to add to their growing team! The Roofing Company is an award-winning full-service roofing contractor specializing in residential and commercial roofing projects in Granby, CO and the surrounding mountain counties. The Roofing Company has been awarded Colorado Job of the Year by the Colorado Roofing Association 2015,2021,2022 and 2024 and has been in  mountain roofing industry for 50 years!

 The Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist position will be working with an established team accounting team. This is the ideal role for someone with previous AP and payroll experience who has an outgoing personality. What you’ll be doing:

Responsibilities include:

• Enter and process bi-weekly payroll and subcontractor payments
• Assist with onboarding new hires and employee termination paper work
• Managing accounts payable using Building Information Systems (BIS) accounting software and other programs
• Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
• Ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
• Processing due invoices for payments
• Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges and working with other Departments to ensure corrections are made
• Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of Accounts Payable processing experience, construction industry preferred but will train the right candidate.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills with Intermediate Excel proficiency
• Ability organize and prioritize duties
• Has a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
• Proactive problem solver within a team-oriented environment
• Uses sound judgment in resolving matters of significant scope and complexity
• Thinks ahead and effectively communicates/plans their work schedules
• Establishes and maintains effective rapport and working relationships with coworkers, vendors, and clients
• Continually analyzes workflow processes, identifying improvements and proposing solution
• Influences others through effective written and oral communication skills

Compensation:

The Roofing Company offers a comprehensive compensation package including competitive salary, annual bonus potential, health insurance with dental and vision insurance options, PTO, and paid Holidays. The salary for this role is $75,000 per year depending in experience. This position does offer Company performance based bonus potential!
