The Roofing Company is looking for a Construction Material Handler / Delivery Driver to add to their growing team! The Roofing Company is an award-winning full-service roofing contractor specializing in residential and commercial roofing projects in Granby and the surrounding mountain counties. The Construction Material Handler / Delivery Driver position will be working in the construction yard and making deliveries to local job sites. A CDL Class A license and with experience with manual 13 speed transmission is preferred. Experience with transportation of construction equipment is preferred. What you’ll be doing:
The Construction Material Handler / Delivery Driver will be responsible for loading/unloading material, tracking and stocking inventory, organize and stage materials for future use pick-up and delivery of materials. Plus, moving and delivering construction equipment and machinery.
Responsibilities include:
• Coordinate delivery of materials to the yard. Organize and stage materials for future use.
• Pick-up and safely transport goods construction material to intended destinations.
• Confirm the contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document.
• Pick-up and safely transport equipment, machinery, goods construction material to intended destinations.
• Assist with walk-in materials sales, as needed.
• Basic interior and exterior maintenance, as needed.
• Ensure contents are properly secured in a truck or flatbed to prevent damage and injury.
• Confirm the contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document.
• Make safety a priority at all times.
Qualifications:
• Valid CDL in good standing with clean MVR and up to date medical card.
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Able to plan delivery routes
• Must maintain basic logs and records.
• Can work independently to carry out a series of instructions.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
