Job Title: Project Coordinator

The Roofing Company is looking for a Project Coordinator to add to their growing team!  The Roofing Company is an award-winning full-service roofing contractor specializing in residential and commercial roofing projects in Granby and the surrounding mountain counties.  We are proud to have been recently named as the Best of the Best winner and have been providing high-quality mountain roofing for over 48 years!

The Project Coordinator position will be working in the construction yard, main buildings, and maintenance shops.  If you are looking for a rewarding career with a growing company, this is the position for you!

Starting at $60K – DOE

What you’ll be doing:

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for loading/unloading material, maintenance and projects around building and yard, tracking and stocking inventory, organize and stage materials for future use pick-up and delivery of materials, helping to cover Granby and the surrounding mountain counties.

Responsibilities include:

  • Establish and maintain open lines of communication with clients and general contractors.
  • Review contracts and subcontracts.
  • Work closely with estimating and setup a pre-job meeting as a hand-off meeting from estimating to operations.
  • View construction plans, read specifications, and technical documents as they relate to accepted projects.
  • Prepare and present product submittal packages to be reviewed by architects and GC’s using Adobe and/or CAD.
  • Lean The Roofing Company’s accounting system. Create budgets according to the provided estimates.
  • Learn scope to identify any out-of-scope work performed to create change order. Track field work directives.
  • Track open change orders 2 weeks prior to billing cycle for GC to execute and load for billing.
  • Prepare monthly job billings and Time & Material billing in a timely manner. By discussing job status with project manager, then announce billings GC’s and send to TRC’s Account Receivable Manager. Change order and T&M billings must have been sent to customer along with a photo report prior to sending the invoice.
  • Order materials and work through logistics of either Denver pick up or job site deliveries.
  • Approve invoices by comparing to PO’s and ensuring packing list of items received match.
  • Code timesheets accordingly to budget.
  • Run budget variance report on a weekly basis on all jobs to identify budget adjustments needed and possible budget overruns. Create budget bust sheets and budget comp form for approval as needed.
  • Participate in conference calls, meetings, and events on behalf of The Roofing Company.
  • Coordinate and effectively communicate pertinent job information with TRC Superintendents and field staff.
  • Create field installation documentation. Including scope and drawings.
  • Download photos of assigned jobs on a weekly basis and save in job folder.
  • Work in GC’s job portals and vendor portals to add warranties.
  • Create a email job folder and file all job related communication to be later pdf’d into the job file at closing.
  • Reports to the Operations GM/VP.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of roofing methods, materials, and systems (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of accounting (preferred)
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve
  • Computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.)
  • Ability to drive commination through all parties involved and work well with others
