Many homeowners replace their roofs only once in their life, so they may feel apprehensive when undertaking a roof replacement project. Knowing what to expect will alleviate any fears and help keep the process going smoothly.
The Roofing Company, one of the top residential roofing contractors in our area, understands this. Here are a few things to know when we replace your roof:
Before the Project Begins
We will handle all applicable inspections and permits required by your project. Before we begin, you should review your contract or proposal, and check to see if it is missing special concerns or conditions. Inform us if there is something that we’ve missed. We always take into account any job specifics listed in your roofing proposal or contract.
Your Project Manager Is Here to Help
Your project manager will serve as your main point of contact during your project. We provide roof installation services to many people so your project manager will contact you two weeks before the anticipated start date of your project and provide you with the project schedule. Do note that this schedule is subject to changes in weather and unforeseen circumstances. Your project manager will also contact you within a few days prior to the project start date. Feel free to contact them if you have concerns or questions.
How Our Crew Works
We will immediately apply a new ice and water shield after the demolition of the existing roof. Our roofing crews usually start between 7 to 9 a.m. and work through the late afternoon or evening. Every night before they leave, they will walk the grounds and clean up debris. We also have several crews to perform weekend work if necessary. Please let us know if you have any time considerations about which we need to know.
Protecting Your Home During the Project
Do warn us if your home has a weak electrical system to avoid problems. The demolition of your current roof material will cause vibrations, so we advise removing pictures from the walls. The vibrations can also cause dirt and dust to accumulate on vehicles and other items. We recommend removing or protecting any fragile objects on the outside of your home. Keep the driveway clear for the trailer.
In addition to roof replacement, we can also help with new roof construction and provide a variety of other home improvement services. We believe in building lasting relationships with our customers through superior service and attention to detail. If you have concerns regarding your project, let us know as soon as possible, and we will do our best to remedy issues in a timely manner.
